🚓2.3 - Patrol Deputies
CORPORAL
A supervisor in training, no CAD supervisor access but is to work hand-in-hand with higher ranks to discuss reports. Corporals can respond to supervisor calls if no one else is available. A Corporal is the department's first Training Supervisor rank and proves you have outshone others in the field. You are now eligible to begin FTO School so you can train others if you wish to do so.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead FTO and primary trainer for probationary deputies
Supervisor in training
Ensure SOP’s are followed in the field
Ability to assist on supervisor calls if no one else is available
SENIOR DEPUTY
Senior patrol officer who is the first point of contact in the training process for probationary deputies. A Senior Deputy has had experience on the road and will be able to take calls on their own pro efficiently. At this stage you will be able to apply for other divisions within the department. You earn this with dedicated time to the department. Minimum time for Senior Deputy is two months.

DEPUTY
Patrol officer who follows assigned patrol work to maintain public peace and order to protect life and property. Becoming a Sheriff Deputy means you are officially a member of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office. The title of Deputy is given to all officers after they complete their probationary course.

Maintain public piece to protect life and property
Follow assigned patrol
CADET
The first steps onto the career ladder with the Blaine County Sheriff's Office. This is the entry-level classification given to all civilians who sign up for the Law Enforcement Academy.

Learn and apply BCSO Standard Operating Procedure
Follow assigned patrol
