📻5.1 - Radio Usage

Radio is a key part of any LEO equipment and must be used properly. Failure to use the radio in a responsible manner can cause major issues in coordinating efforts within the city between PD, EMS and Fire/Rescue. Improper usage can also put other officers at risk. When on duty you should tune your radio to channel 1.

Callsigns

Employees of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office are assigned call signs based on their rank and unit; these callsigns should be used over the radio and begin every transmission. Upon request from a member of the general public or from another officer, the employee must provide them with their callsign.
