๐จโ๐ผ3.2 - Promotions and Demotions
Do not ask for promotions. Asking for promotions may lead to a demotion or disciplinary action.
Department heads have the authority to demote an officer. This must go through the chain of command and investigations must be held. The officer can be demoted based on the performance, attendance, conduct, communication, and coordination of the officer.
If any of the above policies, including the Code of Conduct, are not followed to the department staff expectations, disciplinary action may ensue.
Supervisors can only issue disciplinary actions upon LOWER RANKING officers of their own division. It is the duty of the supervisor in question to report the misconduct of any officer of a SEPARATE division to the correct supervisor of that division.
Supervisors will also be required to report any wanted demotions to their high command and list sufficient evidence to do so.
